Going back to visit Philippines for Christmas was fun and exciting. It was good feeling to be back home.

It’s been two years since I left home, and when my parents told me we’re spending Christmas in the Philippines I was excited. The Christmas spirit in the Philippines is very religious and joyful. It felt good to see all of my family and friends after two years here in America.

When I arrived in the Philippines, I remembered how much I missed the warm weather, food, city life, and the Filipino culture. I visited the school where I used to go to when I still lived in the Philippines. I also went on a college visit if ever I want to go back and study there.

One of the things I love about the Philippines is that you don’t have to worry about getting into places because we have unique methods of transportation like the jeepney, motorrela, trisikad, buses, motorcycle, and taxis. The traffic in the Philippines is much worse than New York City traffic.

I love Christmas in the Philippines because we invite all of our relatives to one house, and it is really entertaining. We get to do karaoke together, play bunch of family games, and talk about everything in life. It was really nice to experience Christmas in the Philippines again.

I have at least 45 family members in the Philippines, and whenever we all gather around, it is really loud and fun on holidays. The Philippines is a religious, respectful, and loving country when it comes to family. It’s sad to be away from them whenever they gather around while my family is in America.

Philippines is one of the best places you can go to. I’m happy I got to see all of my family and friends again, and I hope to visit them soon. There’s no place like home.
