In a home game last Thursday, Spring Mills went against Martinsburg High School and tied 1-1 in a thrilling game.

Though Spring Mills came close multiple of times to scoring a goal, they could not out do Martinsburg for the first half of the game. About 10 minutes into the second half of the game, Spring Mills finally scored the goal they had been waiting for.

For about another 10 minutes, Spring Mills believed they were going to be the winning team, but Martinsburg swooped in and scoredtying 1-1 with Spring Mills.

“It was tough game, but I feel like our team pulled through it quite well, actually,” Spring Mills junior and Varsity player Chase Vogel said.

There were quite a few other close goals between both teams, but when the timer went off, they were still tied.

I’m not mad at the job the boys did tonight. They did their best, and it was a good game,” Coach Kidwell, SMHS Boys’ Varsity coach, explained.
