The SMHS volleyball team hosted its senior night against Musselmen on October 23rd, 2018. Although they did not finish in victory, the team remained strong and spirited in honor of its seniors.

Like the other senior nights for sports, the senior players of the team were celebrated for all their hard work and dedication throughout the years. It was a time for them to look back on all the memories they’ve made.

“It was a special night for me. I have been with those five seniors since the start of my volleyball career and I’ve gotten to grow with them as a volleyball player and a person,” said senior Emma Parkinson.

It is obvious that the team works well together and has built strong friendships, making them even better at their sport.

“I really loved being a part of a team with such nice girls. Being an upper-classmen, I got to kind of mentor some of them in a way. They made me so proud to be a part of the team. I loved the community we had this year,” said senior Meagan Schmuck.

Even though the season has come to an end, it is safe to say that the Spring Mills volleyball team has many promising seasons in its future. The seniors are excited to see their younger members become the leaders.
